About Stoneham Savings Bank
Stoneham Savings Bank was established by the Massachusetts Legislature and was incorporated on March 28, 1855. During those early years, the bank conducted business in various locations throughout Stoneham Square. However, as the bank began to grow and prosper, it was decided by management to obtain its own building. Land was acquired and a new building erected in 1926 on what is now the current site of the Stoneham Square office at 359 Main Street.
In 1976 an additional location was added at 88 Main Street across from the Redstone Shopping Center. Longer hours of operation, as well as a drive-up window, were created for the convenience of our depositors.
In keeping up with the latest technology, ATMs were added at each location in 1987.
