Waccamaw Bank

Waccamaw Bank is a North Carolina corporation that was chartered in 1997 and opened on September 2, 1997. Our headquarters is located in Whiteville, North Carolina along with our Operations Center. Effective on June 30, 2001, Waccamaw Bank became a wholly owned subsidiary of Waccamaw Bankshares, Inc., a one-bank holding company which is owned by over 2,000 shareholders.

Currently, there are seventeen full-service branches located in Whiteville, Shallotte, Southport, Holden Beach, Sunset Beach, Chadbourn, Tabor City, Oak Island and Elizabethtown, North Carolina and Heath Springs, Little River, Socastee and Conway in South Carolina. All bank deposits are insured by the FDIC.
