  • Immediately family mmeber of an existing member
  • A minimum balance of $25.00 is required in the primary savings account for membership

1st Liberty Federal Credit Union is a member owned financial cooperative dedicated to providing exceptional service and products through its professional, knowledgeable staff. We strive to exceed member expectations, create overall value, and promote thrift in an environment that both challenges and rewards employees, while maintaining organizational safety and soundness.

1st Liberty Federal Credit Union was founded by Robert "Scotty" Scott and the co-founders: William Dawson, Joel Taylor, Morgan Moyer, Billie Brankovich, Ehud Markel, Kenneth Platt, and M.B. Holt.  In June of 1955 your Credit Union was chartered as Great Falls Air Force Base Federal Credit Union. The Credit Union started with only 54 members in August of 1955 with just 10 loans. As of today, we have six branches to serve our members in the Great Falls community: the Malmstrom Branch is located just outside the Base back gate, the Westside Branch continues to be located on Central Ave W, and our latest addition is a Drive-thru branch located on 10th Avenue across the street from Bison Ford. There are also branches in Conrad and Cut Bank rounding out our Montana branches. In North Dakota there are two branches: the first is on the Grand Forks Air Force Base and the other is Downtown Grand Forks, right in front of the Happy Host Motel.

"Making a Positive Difference In Every Member's Life We Touch", 1st Liberty Federal Credit Union will be opening a branch in Riverview and a branch on Malmstrom Air Force Base. These future plans are currently in the initial planning phase and should be visible within the next few years.
