To join AFFCU, you must open a share savings account with a minimum deposit of $25.00. To remain a member in good standing and be eligible for all the other services provided at AFFCU, this $25.00 must stay on deposit in your share savings account as long as you are an AFFCU member.

Employer Credit Union Sign-Ups - If your company is listed as part of AFFCU's field of membership, ask your benefits department or your company's owner to invite AFFCU to your place of employment for a credit union sign-up. An AFFCU representative will come to your work site to tell you about the credit union, answer your questions and complete the forms for you to join. If you join through an on work site visit, you will need to provide a valid driver's license or state identification card with the correct address and check, cash or money order for $25.00.

Chartered April 1, 1950 as Baltimore Telephone Federal Credit Union, our name changed in June, 1994 to better identify with our growing field of membership and expanding geographical area. Atlantic Financial Federal Credit Union (AFFCU), a non-profit, full-service financial organization serves the employee groups and their family members listed in Member Groups.

All profits are returned to AFFCU's member/owners in the form of higher dividends  on savings, lower interest rates on loans, and implementation of services to make financial transactions more convenient for free or with much lower fees than charged by other financial institutions.

All AFFCU deposits are insured by the strongest insurance fund backed by the federal government (NCUSIF - National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund).
