BRECO, which was chartered in 1934, is celebrating its 76th anniversary, which makes us one of the oldest Credit Unions in the state and nation. We were first chartered by a group of utility employees from the Baton Rouge Electric Company, which merged with Gulf States Utilities in 1938 and then with Entergy in 1994.
