About Diamond Lakes Federal Credit Union
The Diamond Lakes Federal Credit Union, originally called the Jones Mills Federal Credit Union, was formed in 1960 to serve the employees of Reynolds Metals Reduction Plant. The credit union began offering life savings insurance and loans the same year. The credit union's assets were worth about $10,000.
The credit union received a Multiple Group Charter in 1994 allowing it to expand in a 25-mile radius around it’s Malvern Office. It then became the Diamond Lakes Federal Credit Union. The credit union was granted another community charter in 2005 to serve Hot Spring, Garland, Clark, Montgomery and Pike Counties. In 2006, the credit union opened a full-service branch at 4032 Central Avenue in Hot Springs.
The Diamond Lakes Federal Credit Union has since continued to expand its membership and add services to benefit its members. As of December 31, 2009, the credit union's assets were worth $41,876,219.
