• Employees, doctors, medical staff and technicians of HCA Coliseum Psychiatric Hospital, Inc in Macon Georgia
• Employees of staff doctors who work in the Coliseum Park Professional Building in Macon Georgia
• Employees, doctors, medical staff and technicians of HCA Fairview Park Hospital who work in Dublin Georgia
• Employees of the Piedmont Sports Medicine Complex, Athletic Therapy and Rehabilitation Institute and the Surgery Center who work in Macon Georgia
• Employees of the Ledger Enquirer Company who work in Columbus Georgia
• Employees of the Macon Telegraph Publishing Company who work in or are paid from Macon Georgia
• Employees of the Union-Recorder who work in or are paid from Macon Georgia
• Spouses of persons who died while within the field of membership of this credit union
• Persons retired as pensioners or annuitants from the above employment

In 1935, a small group of Georgia Power Company - Atlanta Division employees pooled their funds and Georgia Power Atlanta Federal Credit Union was federally chartered by the Farm Credit Association. Over 50 years later, we changed our name to Georgia Power Federal Credit Union after adding the members of the Georgia Power Augusta Employees Credit Union by merger. Georgia Power Federal Credit Union began adding other Select Employee Groups to our field of membership in the 1990's.

We also completed mergers with three smaller credit unions during the years 2002 through 2005. After being granted a Trade/Industry/Profession charter in 2006, membership was broadened to those who work in the Electric Utilities Industry in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. Georgia Power Federal Credit Union is a nonprofit cooperative, where you are a member-owner. We proudly serve members through the philosophy of "Once a Member, Always A Member". While you must initially join through your employer or a qualified family member, you can remain a member for life, no matter where you live or work in the future. Through the use of technology, automated services, surcharge free ATM's, our website, and the Shared Branching Network, we are able to serve our members without adding costly brick and mortar locations.
