Individuals must belong to one of the groups listed below before they can join River City Federal Credit Union. The field of membership of this credit union shall be limited to those who have the following common bonds:
- Persons who live, work, worship, or attend school in, and businesses and other legal entities in Bexar County, TX;
- Members of record of this credit union as of November 20, 2006, the date of its conversion to a community charter;
- Employees of this credit union;
- Spouses of persons who died while within the field of membership of this credit union;
- Members of their immediate families; and
- Organizations of such persons.

River City FCU was chartered in 1936 by ten telephone company employees with a vision and $100. They volunteered their time to foster a common dream, and this website is evidence of their success.
Our credit union was originally chartered under the name of San Antonio Telephone Employees Federal Credit Union. Now named River City FCU, we serve not only telephone employees, but the heart of the San Antonio community, including people who live, work, worship or attend school in Bexar County.
