Soo Co-op Credit Union

Soo Co-op Credit Union was originated by a handful of employees at the North West Leather Company, known as the Ole Tannery in 1950. When the tannery closed, the employees reorganized their credit union into the Soo Co-op Credit Union on November 17, 1958, sponsored by the Soo Cooperative Company. Soo Co-op Credit Union’s field of membership is a cooperative. Membership is open to anyone who purchases a dollar stock from our sponsor, known as the Soo Cooperative Grocery Store.
