Sussex County Federal Credit Union Membership Eligibility
An individual may qualify for membership in the following ways:
- if he/she lives in Sussex County or the City of Milford, Delaware;
- if he/she regularly works, worships, goes to school, performs volunteer services or participates in associations headquartered in the above area;
- if he/she participates in programs to alleviate poverty or distress that are located in the above area; or
- if he/she is a spouse of a person who died while within the field of membership of the credit union.
The credit union’s Family Membership Program extends eligibility to members of the immediate family or household of a credit union member (or in some cases to someone who is merely eligible for membership).
A Business may qualify for membership if it is located in or maintains a facility in Sussex County or the City of Milford.
Most individuals can qualify for membership in the credit union through the Sussex County FCU Foundation. Membership in the foundation is open to anyone interested in supporting our mission. The Foundation is primarily devoted to supporting families through donations to support financial education for children, camp programs, school supplies, etc. The Foundation raises funds through donations, events, and dues. Dues are $10 per year. If you are an employee of one of our Business Partners, the credit union will pay your dues for the 1st year. You need not remain a member of the Foundation to retain credit union membership
