• Health related professionals, employees and volunteers of the IHS (IMMC) and its directly associated subsidiaries, affiliates, clinics and health care providers
• Person related to a member within the common bond, including foster children, adopted children and such relatives of a deceased member

The credit union came into being on October 11, 1955. Membership was limited to ministers, family members and churches of the North Iowa Conference. Our By-Laws have changed over the years to include other groups in our field of membership. In 1985 we opened a small branch office at Iowa Methodist Medical Center and in 1998 we moved to our current location, 1212 Pleasant St, Ste 106, Des Moines. In the spring of 1999 we sold the Ames property, closed that office and moved all our operations to the Des Moines location.

When the credit union was first formed we had only shares and loans. We now offer a full range of financial products and services including mortgages and Internet home banking. We have members across the US and internationally, and our assets continue to grow.

The credit union, unlike many financial institutions, is a not-for-profit organization. This means our earnings are used to provide low cost/no cost financial services to you our MEMBER-OWNERS. Our board of directors is elected from the membership and serves as unpaid volunteers. We are committed to providing excellent products and services to our members.
