About Utah Central Credit Union
Utah Central Credit Union was organized in 1940 as the credit union for credit unions. Our purpose was to provide interlending services between credit unions and provide financial services to credit union management who were prohibited from using their own institutions’ services. We used our reserves to assist struggling credit unions and merged with liquidated credit unions.
In 1960 Utah Central split into two separate entities, Utah Central Credit Union and Corporate Central Credit Union. This allowed Utah Central to focus on small employee groups that were too small to form their own credit union. We continue to serve over 350 small employee groups and have broadened our scope to include the Utah community.
