About Western Rockies Federal Credit Union
We are Western Rockies Federal Credit Union. We are owned by our members. We were chartered in 1936 as Mesa County Teachers Federal Credit Union by 29 educators. In May of 2004, credit union members voted to change our name to better reflect the three-generations of family members and the geography of the area. In July of 2004, Burning Mountain Credit Union merged with us. Today, Western Rockies FCU has 14,700 members and locations in Grand Junction, Clifton, Rifle and our new branch in Fruita.
