Individuals eligible for Wyandotte Federal Credit Union (WFCU) membership include:

• Employees of any SEG (Select Employee Group) in our Field of Membership
• Immediate family or individuals living in the same household as a SEG employee even if that SEG employee is not a WFCU member
• Persons retired from a SEG and their immediate family or household
• Spouses of persons who died while in our Field of Membership and their immediate family or household
• Employees of WFCU, their immediate family or individuals living in the same household as the WFCU employee

Back in 1938, a group of 25 employees from Michigan Alkali pooled their resources to establish the Michigan Alkali Employees Credit Union. Their deposits totaled just $161.25, but their vision was strong and their mission was clear. They succeeded in founding a cooperative financial institution that exemplifies the ideals of the credit union movement; meeting members' financial needs through competitive rates, affordable services and personal attention.

Today we have a different name, a greatly expanded membership base and many new products and technologies. Wyandotte Federal Credit Union serves more than 18,000 members employed at nearly 109 companies in Michigan, New Jersey and throughout the United States. Our assets exceed $92 million.
